About meI commenced professional practice as a Chartered Accountant in the late 80’s, offering services to small & medium businesses in internal auditing, financial statement audits, formalizing of business processes and support in complying with corporate and tax laws.After a decade and a half of professional practice, I switched tracks and joined a leading consulting firm, offering me opportunities to work with large enterprise clients, primarily in information technology and financial services sectors. Over the years with the firm, my role evolved to include evaluating clients’ corporate governance and risk management structures, frameworks & practices; reviewing organizational policies & procedures; reviewing compliance with applicable laws & regulations; advising on designing of internal control frameworks including controls embedded in information-technology solutions; evaluating and reporting on controls effectiveness under globally recognized assurance standards.Currently, I lead a small consulting practice primarily to work with startup founders and owners of small businesses in implementing governance structures, risk management practices, formulating policies & procedures, standardizing business processes and IT operations, designing & implementing internal control and complying with laws and regulations.
